Soul Surfing.

In case my title hasn't given it away already tonight I saw the new movie Soul Surfer!
I have heard her story before, but i never really thought to much about it... About a week or so ago I was driving home from work and Bethany and her mom were on the radio sharing their story, that's when it really hit me, she was so strong and yet so dependent on God from the beginning.
Did you know that the two weeks before her accident she and her mom prayed every day for God's will to come out of her passion for waves..
I can honestly say I don't think I would feel that was exactly an answer to prayers, but Bethany did and through her faith in Him she was back out in the water 3 weeks later! Now look at what an impact she's had on people all over the word she's "embracing more people with one arm than she ever could with two.."
Her story is an incredible reminder that God works through the hardest times to bring about the greatest good.

"God is our refuge and strength, our ever present help in times of trouble." - Psalm 46:1

He promises to be there for us always..
As Easter is ... well today! and was the beginning of new life for all I feel like this is a good time to remember to be thankful even when there seems to be nothing to be thankful for.. and if you haven't been able to in the past, remember to change your perspective and smile because you will never be given more than you can handle and because when you are lost or hurting those are the times that will define who you are. those are the moments that make you. I know I find my self asking "why?" what did I do to deserver this I'm still working on truly embracing those moments when you wish you could just run and hide ... When life just doesn't seem fair. As of today I am trying something new, I am going to be thankful for the hard times because it means God is paying attention and is teaching me something new!
I know it won't always be easy but...
"I don't need easy, I just need possible..
and through Him all things are possible."

Bella Safar

Hey guys!

So I finally went for it. I set up a blog of my very own. Sounds easy right? Well if you've met me youd know I repel technology, making this somewhat of a daunting task. I'm not sure exactly how these work but hey, here goes nothing..

I guess I can start by telling a little about myself.
I'm just your typical teenage girl, I like to have fun. I go out with friends, work in an office and spend time with the family. I've made mistakes but I have no regrets. My life is a beautiful mess and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've learned when things look bad just look forward cause it can only get better. No matter what I smile, I love to read and music defines me. Whatever Im caught listening to is a mirror reflection of how I'm feeling.. so listen closely. My life is full of little adventures. I'm a traveler. I don't know how to stay in one place even if I wanted to. As a matter of fact I am heading to Atlanta this very moment. (fill you in next time!) There's so much to see in the world and I want to see it all. As to how I expect to pay for this I have no idea.. jobs that pay me to travel all over the world.. Hmm. Let me know if you hear of anything. I'm stumped. I also happen to be a shopaholic and a dancer. Dancing is the truest expression of the heart and the greatest escape of the stresses in my life. oh, did I mention I have a tendancy to be a bit random. So, try to keep up. Not always easy. Good luck! I'm not the type of person who usually likes sharing personally things with others but I believe that the stories of the people who cross my path and the little life lessons I learn(mostly the hard way) deserve to be told. I promise this won't be all about me:)
As for the name *Bella-Safar", strange as it seems actually has a great deal of meaning to me. Bella became my nickname with my friends after one of my little life lessons, it also happens to mean beauty (not why I'm called it, what I went through was anything but beautiful at the time) however safar is journey in Hindi. I learned this about 6 months ago when I spent 3 months in India surrounded by the most beautiful people you will ever meet. I decided to combine these to words as the name for my blog sight because here o this blog I plan to unravel a beautiful journey I call life and the little adventures I take along the way! Feel free to join me. thats all for now..

Ciao Bella.
